Week 31 update brings in increased Damage over time in PUBG

According to the patch notes published as an official announcement on PUBG's official steam page. There are a couple of things which are going to change

Early Access – Week 31 – Patch Notes

  1. Gameplay: Increased the blue zone DOT (Damage over Time)
  2. Bug Fix: Resolved a bug where bullets would sometimes ignore armor

In a typical PUBG round at a time, two circles get marked. Blue and white. In addition to that, there is a countdown timer too which decides when the blue circle starts shrinking. Any player outside the blue circle gets damage over time (DOT). The blue circle contracts up to the white circle and then the next white circle gets marked along with a reset to the countdown timer.

We have received a lot of feedback asking for improvement of the blue zone. We have decided to adjust the blue zone damage to encourage engagement inside of the play zone. From this new update, you will be able to focus more on the immediate, close-ranged skirmishes inside the play zone, instead of dealing with enemies outside of the play zone during the mid to late phases of the game - official sources

PUBG's blue circle has been a very important factor in deciding the strategy a person should take as subsequent steps. It is always safe to stay within the white circle as far as possible. But sometimes it can also be an intelligent move to stay outside the circle for a little more time to make sure that no backstabber tries to sneak behind.

The first test servers are going to run the vaulting and climbing feature patch in early November. PUBG officials have requested the gamers to play on these test servers and share their experience. A separate announcement about the test server schedules will be coming in soon.
