Smashing milestones and breaking records is what the trend of the popularity of PUBG (Playerunknown's battleground) looks like. Passing the record breaking 1.3 million users for Dota 2 last month. This month it has crossed the figure of 2 million and the graph doesn't look like going down anytime soon.
Lets take a look at how the steam stats looks like
PUBG currently has around 3 times more users than the second most popular game Dota 2. What is also interesting to note is that Dota 2 is a free to play game while PUBG costs 999 INR (US$ 29.99).
While PUBG has taken the world by storm India, is yet to feel the craze. A glance at Steamspy's report tells that CSGO is still the favoured option for Indians. Will PUBG's craze surpass that of CSGO for them. only time will tell.
Bluehole has also announced the resetting of leaderboards for the upcoming season. The leaderboards should have reset by now but has been delayed upto October 17th.
"Our concurrent users have been increasing rapidly, and we are genuinely concerned that we may not be able to provide you with a comfortable and seamless gaming experience by starting the new season immediately," Bluehole said on a Steam post apologising for the delay.
