Korean minister brings a golden frying pan to the assembly to promote PUBG

On the second day of the audit of the National Assembly, Lee Dong-sup, a congressman, lifted a golden frying pan with a question

"Do you know what this golden pan is ?"

A pan was raised along with a question
We as gamers know the answer to that, the pan has been a popular symbol in Playerunknown's Battlegrounds. It is used to do melee attacks and can be used to dodge bullets. The golden pan specifically is given as awards in PUBG events. The last one was given in August during the Gamescom PUBG Invitational.

The minister wanted to attract attention of the assembly to the fact that PUBG was made by a developer from their country and the game has sold 12 million copies and have gone over 2 million concurrent players in 6 months which is unprecedented in Korean gaming history. In light of which if such online shooting games are promoted in the country, the revenue generated by South Korea will also grow.

Its also worth noting that South Korea is a country where 100% internet users enjoy blazingly fast internet speeds. Its pretty clear that the country does invests a lot in technology.
